Quentin Olwell

Managing Director

Quentin has over 20 years of staffing and recruiting experience.   He has managed large staffing teams but his true passion lies in being a hands-on recruiter, matching great people with great companies.  During his career he has placed candidates at all levels of an organization and understands the needs of a Fortune 100 company as well as a boot-strapped start-up.

When he is not at his desk working he spends time with his wife and two teenagers… and the family dog that seems to get more attention than anyone.  As a California native he is still learning to deal with the New England winters but nothing says “stay in the office and work” like 5 feet of snow on the ground.

  • Quote to live by: “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good”
  • I am a recruiter because I still get a buzz when I match a great candidate with a great company.
  • Favorite pastime outside of recruiting is spending time with my family. Which these days means chauffeuring my kids around.
  • My last meal would be mostly made up of the best Pinot Noir I could get my hands on, maybe a little food too.
  • When I was growing up I wanted to be on the Olympic weightlifting team
  • If I could be any animal I would be a bald eagle. They get to fly around and are king of the sky.
  • When I retire I want to sit on the beach with my wife and read all the books I never got around to reading.

Kristen Kibbee

Executive Recruiter

Kristen’s background lies in Mechanical Engineering, giving her technical savvy and strong attention to detail. While raising her children, she sold real estate for 10 years. As a realtor, she gained strong sales abilities, and learned the importance of integrating the emotions of her clients into a business transaction. She has always enjoyed helping others and recruiting provides a means to work with professional clients each day, while helping skilled candidates find new opportunities. Job placement is a uniquely fulfilling experience, combining the thrill of the sale with the satisfaction of helping others reach their dreams. Kristen enjoys working in the construction field. At NewGig, we have the ability and resources help companies fill all these needs. Her unique background in sales and engineering provides a strong base of knowledge for all areas of construction. She also happens to be married to a construction executive, so most of her dinner time conversation over the years has stemmed from stories from the field…really, the best education in the world!

  • I am a recruiter because it combines the best of my two previous careers, engineering and real estate sales.
  • My favorite pastime outside of recruiting is travelling.
  • My last meal would be a rare ribeye steak with tiramisu for dessert, with a pomegranate martini.
  • When I was growing up I wanted to be wealthy.
  • If I could be an animal I would be a pet dog in the Kibbee’s house…they live the high life!
  • When I retire I want to travel the world.
